After completing this workshop, you will be able to:
* Identify conditions of the low back that are commonly misdiagnosed when myofascial dysfunction is not considered
* Identify and correct common factors that perpetuate trigger points in the low back such as short leg, small hemi pelvis, long second toe and prolonged sitting
* Demonstrate how to perform postural muscle strengthening exercises and 6-part Kraus-Weber Postural Muscle Fitness Test
* Identify which muscles, if dysfunctional, can cause: low back pain that can radiate over the buttock into leg, failed low back post-surgical syndrome
* Demonstrate techniques for deactivating trigger points for all 7 muscles that refer pain to the low back Demonstrate the use of Gauber's vapocoolant spray to treat the low back
* Use MYO self care protocols for compression, stretch and range of motion for the low back
* Demonstrate how to objectively measure improvements in low back range of motion
