We invite you to participate in the FREE Principles of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy Workshop Friday May 16th at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (see details below).

Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

Understand the significance of referred pain patterns and why trigger points in muscles that you hadn't suspected may be the underlying cause of pain in conditions such as tension headache, migraine headache, earache (normal drum), nausea, dizziness, toothache, torticollis, upper back pain, low back pain, sciatica, thoracic outlet syndrome, tennis and golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, angina, appendicitis, irritable bowel syndrome, pelvic pain, joint dysfunction, tendonitis, bone spur, recurring sprain, bursitis, neuralgia, arthritis, inflammation, fibromyalgia and many more

Identify the most common factors that perpetuate trigger points including Morton's Foot Syndrome, hyperpronation, small hemi-pelvis, forward head position, short leg, short upper arm and paradoxical breathing

Identify the most effective techniques for deactivating trigger points including passive and active rhythmic release, trigger point pressure release, spray and stretch, low level laser therapy and others

Begin applying the myofascial pain identification charts which cover each of 60 body areas. Each protocol includes muscle compression, stretching and range of motion techniques. Come ready to practice on yourself!
